Bus Line from Oakland: 75 to Market District Giant Eagle
Mission: Foxwall EMS is completely volunteer based organization that provides emergency medical care to Fox Chapel and Aspinwall areas (just outside of Pittsburgh). It is a great way to gain clinical experience and interact directly with patients.
Requirements: EMT-basic certification, Paramedic certification
No prior experience required.

Mission: Global Links is a medical relief and development organization that supports health improvement initiatives and promoting environmental stewardship in the US healthcare system. They serve this mission by redirecting still-useful materials away from US landfills to resource-poor communities.

They were founded in response to the deinstitutionalization programs that released state mental hospital patients into the community, with few supporters or social connections. Their focus is on local women, regardless of ability to pay has evolved into a national center for clinical programs in breast and gynecologic cancers, genetics, infectious diseases, and reproductive endocrinology.
